Girls Night Ideas
You might call it girls night, I call it therapy
Girls nights are the best nights! They give you a nice little break from reality and you may even end up with something to take home, like a new painting!
Below are a couple of ideas you can use next time you and the girls get together.
Paint night – but at home!
Paint nights at restaurants and bars generally cost about $45 a ticket. For the same cost, you can go to a local craft store, such as Michaels and pick up materials to be able to have 3 – 4 paint nights with your friends! Bring over some cinnamon buns, or cookies, and you are set. You could also do the original paint nights at a restaurant, but like I said above, they do cost money and require you to buy tickets ahead of time. They are a good option however if you would rather follow an artists instructions than come up with your own idea.
Similar to the paint night, a craft night is geared to getting a little more creative and building something with your hands. Pinterest is a great place to start looking for ideas. Some ideas that I have saved include painting plant pots, mason jar candle holders, picture holders. It is also helpful to look around your house and think about anything in particular you want to add to it. You could also go the extra mile and make a gift for your friends, especially if they have a baby shower, bridal party, or birthday coming up.
Escape rooms are incredibly fun! Nothing bonds you together like being locked in a room with someone, or 3. Escape rooms are fun because they allow you to the thrill of being stuck in a room, as well as the adrenaline from your efforts of trying to beat the clock and escape. Escape rooms allow you to work together to solve various puzzles in an effort to get out. The feeling of escaping with time left is very rewarding! Usually you are allowed to pick the difficulty level and/or theme of the room. So there is something for everyone!
Nothing says “lets end our friendship” like monopoly. Just kidding. Board games are an incredibly fun way to spend the evening, and chances are, you or your girlfriends already have games sitting around your house. This way you just need to show up with some wine and off you go! Makes for great memories.
Visit a brewery or winery
Depending on what kind of drinks you and your friends are into, you can find the nearest brewery or winery to visit. Some are walk in, others you need to make an appointment. Visiting a brewery or winery lets you learn a little bit about the craft itself, and the different flavours you should be tasting with different options.
These are just some options you can look at when planning your next girl’s night. Girl’s nights are fantastic because they let you leave your stressed out world for a hot minute and focus your mind on being creative, or relaxing with your friends.
If you have other ideas for girl’s nights, let me know! I am a fan of the painting option. Once you buy the supplies you have the ability to create multiple paintings, making it easier to have regular girl’s nights.
